Tian Provençal

Tian Provençal is, to me, the ultimate expression of French simplicity when summer arrives. It is a gratin of thinly sliced vegetables, arranged with precision in a baking dish, where zucchini, eggplant, and tomato intertwine to soak up the scent of garlic, thyme, and olive oil. As it bakes, the flavors concentrate and the vegetables become incredibly tender, creating an unmatched harmony of taste and visuals. As shown in Tian Provençal.png, it is a dish that dazzles with its colorful and rustic freshness.

The story behind

I remember my first trip to Provence; it was there that I tried this dish for the first time in a small farmhouse. I was captivated not only by its taste, but by the patience required to arrange each slice of vegetable, turning something ordinary into a piece of art. Ever since, preparing a Tian Provençal at home is my favorite way to welcome the warmer months. I love how, when taking it out of the oven, the aroma of fresh herbs and roasted tomatoes fills the whole house, creating a cozy and lively atmosphere. It is a recipe that, although it may look elaborate because of its presentation, is incredibly noble and easy to make. I always like to finish it with a few fresh basil leaves just before serving, giving it that bright green contrast that stands out in Tian Provençal.png. For me, this dish represents the essence of slow living: enjoying good ingredients, respecting their cooking time, and, above all, sharing the pleasure of eating healthy and delicious food with those I love most.
